1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, melted
1/4 cup canola oil
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
4 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a bowl.
In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, canola oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then spread half the batter in the prepared pan. Layer with peanut butter and top with remaining batter.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, let cool for 1 hour, then slice into squares.
Notes
For a marbled effect, swirl the peanut butter into the batter before baking.
Use a sharp knife dipped in hot water to cut clean brownie slices.
For a dairy-free version, substitute plant-based butter and dairy-free chocolate.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
