1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
24 wonton wrappers
1/2 cup salsa
Optional toppings: sour cream, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, sliced jalapeños
Instructions:
Â
Prepare the Taco Filling:
Â
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in the taco seasoning and water, allowing it to simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Assemble the Mini Taco Bites:
Â
Lightly spray a 12-cup muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
Place a wonton wrapper into each muffin cup, pressing it down to form a base.
Add about 1 tablespoon of the taco meat to each cup, followed by a sprinkle of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.
Layer another wonton wrapper on top, pressing it gently over the cheese.
Add another tablespoon of taco meat and more cheese on top of the second wrapper.
Finish with a small dollop of salsa on each bite.
Bake:
Â
Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes, until the wonton wrappers are crisp and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve:
Â
Allow the taco bites to cool slightly before carefully removing them from the muffin tin.
Garnish with your favorite toppings, like sour cream, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and sliced jalapeños.
Serve warm and enjoy the explosion of taco goodness in every bite!
